As per the new changes in November, 2015 for immigration purposes, a candidate has to pass the required test(s) from a Home Office approved SELT (Secure English Language Tests) centre. Candidates generally need following 4 types of tests.
- English Test A1 (also known as A1 CEFR or ESOL Entry Level 1 or GESE Grade 2) is must for the applicants seeking for fresh spouse visa. As per Home Office guidelines, English Test A1 (also known as ESOL Entry Level 1 / A1 CEFR / GESE Grade 2) is must for the applicants seeking for fresh spouse visa.
